'83 Logo: Ranveer-Deepika Raise The Curtain To Unveil The Logo; Meet Tahir Raj Bhasin As Sunil Gavaskar

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer '83 have intrigued many movie buffs and that too for obvious reasons. First, the film is based on the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, second, the film is about Indian winning the first World Cup in 1983 and the last but the least is the lead stars of the film, Ranveer and Deepika who are not only one of the most celebrated couples in Bollywood but this film marks the first film where the two will be seen together after their marriage.

Last year November, Ranveer shared his 'natraj shot' picture where he can be seen in his Kapil Dev's look, leaving us in complete starstruck. Today, the makers have unveiled the first logo of the film along with introducing the first character from the film who is known as the 'little master' and 'Kapil Dev's first devil' - Sunil Gavaskar which will be played by Tahir Raj Bhasin. Sharing the logo, the makers' handle captioned the photo as, "A curtain-raiser to the film that‘ll make every Indian proud. #ThisIs83."

While posting Tahir's first look, they wrote for the actor, "Our favorite Sunny, the Little Master wielding his legendary bat and making his way to winning India’s first-ever World Cup trophy! Presenting to you Kapil Dev’s first devil — #SunilGavaskar! #ThisIs83."

Ranveer too shared his look on his handle, saying, "TAHIR RAJ BHASIN as The Little Master SUNIL GAVASKAR." Well, now that they have started with character introduction, we can't wait to see the other 9 players' character look as we are already treated by Ranveer and Tahir's look.

This sports drama is based on India's victory at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. The film will see him essaying the role of former Indian skipper Kapil Dev and his wife Deepika Padukone who would be playing his on-screen wife too as Romi Bhatia. Kabir Khan's directorial film also stars Boman Irani and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.

This is Ranveer’s first flick to release in three languages- Hindi, Tamil and Telugu; releasing on April 10, 2020.
